Τέσσερις πύργοι ψύξης ορόσημο κατεδαφίζονται σε ένα «σημαντικό ορόσημο στην ιστορία της βρετανικής ενεργειακής βιομηχανίας».

Οι πύργοι των 375 ποδών στο σταθμό ηλεκτροπαραγωγής Ferrybridge στο Knottingley, Δυτικό Γιορκσάιρ, μειώθηκαν σε ερείπια σε ελεγχόμενη έκρηξη.

Περίπου 100 σπίτια εκκενώθηκαν στη ζώνη αποκλεισμού 328 αυλών που περιβάλλει τον σταθμό ηλεκτροπαραγωγής.
